DP World Cyber-Attack Disruption

Dear Customers,

Please be advised that on Friday evening DP World Terminals experienced a cyber-attack which brought the Australian operations of DP World to a halt. DP immediately disconnected its internet activity and commenced contingency arrangements.

The disruption is expected to continue for several days. With DP World being one of the major port terminals in Australia, this attack will clearly cause disruptions to the supply chain.

SCC staff are working very closely with our transport providers and other stake holders to minimise disruptions and costs.

DP Word terminals had already been suffering disruptions from the on-going Australia wide port strikes. The negotiations with the union is still at a standstill and the disruptions at DP will continue even when their operational systems are back to normal after this cyber-attack.
