There is currently a critical shortage of empty 40’GP and 40’HC containers, which is forecasted to worsen this month as the last of the pre-Christmas stock gets rushed in.
The majority of shipping lines in main port China (Shanghai/Ningbo/Qingdao/Yantian/Shekou), along with some of the smaller ports, are now unable to offer 40’GP or 40’HC containers.
If you require shipping with a 40’GP/HC from China, we can advise if your shipment is affected and suggest if necessary to seek an alternative solution. This may include, shipping 2×20’GP in place of a 40’GP/HC or utilising alternative line options.
